About AVG – Working Association Of Manufacturers And Publishers Of Greeting Cards

AVG. is a voluntary working association of the most important manufacturers and publishers of greeting cards in Germany. It was founded in Munich in 1972 in the legal form of an unincorporated association.

AVG. does not sell products, but assumes duties for their member companies which they cannot solve or only solve with difficulties such as market research, advertising, the industry’s representation at public authorities and exhibition companies as well as the greeting card’s promotion in every respect.

AVG represents the German manufacturers and publishers of greeting cards at an international working group to which the countries U.S.A., Canada, Great Britain, France, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Israel, Australia, New Zealand, and others belong.
AVG considers itself also as advocate of the German greeting card market and contact partner for other groups engaged in this field. Requests of third parties submitted to AVG are passed on to the member companies. AVG is quite prepared to act as intermediary.
